Gary U. Rollé, CFA is Principal and Portfolio Manager at Granite Investment Partners, LLC.  He is a Co-Portfolio Manager on the Large Cap Equity strategy and previously served as the Lead Portfolio Manager on the strategy dating back to its inception.  In addition, he manages equity portfolios for private clients. Mr. Rollé follows the Energy, Financial Services and Industrials sectors as an analyst. Mr. Rollé is also a member of the Management Committee. 

Prior to joining Granite in 2011, Mr. Rollé was a Principal, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager of Transamerica Investment Management, LLC (TIM), which he rejoined in 1983 when he was named Chief Investment Officer. While at TIM, he managed and serviced institutional accounts as well as mutual funds, in the Large Cap, Core and All Cap Equity strategies. Prior to rejoining Transamerica in 1983, Mr. Rollé was Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager at Sun America from 1981 to 1983. Mr. Rollé started his career at Occidental Life as an Investment Analyst and then became a Portfolio Manager in All Cap Growth Equities, Convertible Securities, and High Yield Bonds. He earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1974.

Mr. Rollé is a Trustee Emeritus of The John Tracy Clinic, a Trustee of The Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens, and a Senior Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Mr. Rollé has over 55 years of investment industry experience.
